Clipse shocked the music world when they reunited to release their new album, “Let God Sort Em Out,” in July 2025. Now, they are revealing the moment came to be.
During a recent interview with GQ, Malice read the question, “What was the moment where I knew we needed to make another album?” Pusha T answered, “I Pray For You,” from his 2022 album It’s Almost Dry, which features Malice. “That’s the moment I knew, anyway,” Pusha said. He went on to credit the fans for the massive response they received on the song.
Although Malice would do sporadic features, many wondered if he would do another album with his brother. The moment came in 2025, when they released their first album together in 16 years. “It is because of my faith that I’m sitting here with you right now,” he said in an Apple Music interview with Ebro Darden when asked about reuniting with his brother. “That is the only reason that I get to sit here with my brother.”
It’s no secret that Malice relies heavily on his faith and speaks about it through his Christian music. He also changed his name from Malice to No Malice to show fans and others he had embraced Jesus Christ.
When it came to reuniting with his brother, they also worked with longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams to bring back that core Clipse sound. “It just felt like a real good family setting,” Malice said. “The creative aspect, the same as it’s always been from yay high.”
Pusha T added, “We get caught up in the feeling of certain records. You got to realize that before we even get to the process of hooks and writing, man, we’re so entranced by the beat.”
