Trey Reed, A Black Student, Was Found Hanging From A Tree At Delta State University

Demartravion “Trey” Reed was found hanging from a tree at Delta State University in Mississippi.

Reed, 21, a student from Grenada, was found around 7 a.m. Monday morning hanging from a tree near the school’s pickleball courts on DSU’s central campus.

Chief Michael Peeler, DSU police said that this is a pending investigation and that the medical examiner’s office won’t have any further information until the investigation is done.

The university’s president, Daniel Ennis, also released a statement about the Reed’s tragic death. “Our community is deeply saddened by this loss. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of all those impacted by Tre’s loss.”

Although Reed’s death is under investigation, many people on social media expressed other feelings about his death.
