Charlie Kirk has died after being shot while speaking at an event at Utah Valley University. He was 31 years old.
The right-wing commentator was reportedly shot in the neck. Footage of the shooting incident has been circulating online.
Reports state that the shooter is currently in police custody. Kirk was speaking at the university as part of his “The American Comeback Tour” which was hosted by Turning Point USA (TPUSA), Utah chapter.
His death was confirmed by President Trump. “The Great, and even legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead,” Trump wrote. “No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by all, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us.”
Kirk is survived by his wife, Erica Frantzve, and their two children, a daughter 3, and 15- month old son.
