Anthony Geary, beloved actor, has passed away at 78.
According to reports, Geary, best known for his role as Luke Spencer in the hit daytime soap opera “General Hospital”, passed away in Amsterdam.
His family revealed that he passed away from complications of a planned surgery. Geary’s cause of death is unclear at the moment.
Throughout his career, Geary won 8 Daytime Emmy Awards for his role in “General Hospital.” He also appeared on “The Mod Squad,” “The Partridge Family,” “The Young and The Restless,” and “All in the Family.”
While on GH, Geary’s character, Luke Spencer, became a part of a signature couple, along with Genie Francis, who played Laura Spencer. In 1981, the world watched in awe as the two got married, with Elizabeth Taylor making a cameo on the show for the special event.
Anthony Geary was born and raised in Utah to Mormon parents. He attended the University of Utah on a theater scholarship and later moved to Hollywood to pursue his acting career.
