Joshua Jahn is dead after he fatally shot two people at an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas, on Wednesday morning.
Authorities have reported that the Jahn, 29, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after opening fire at the facility. According to Dallas police, the gunman shot multiple rounds from an elevated platform into the facility’s sally port. He was dead by the time the police arrived on the scene. During the shooting another person was killed. The identity of the two victims have not been revealed.
Joe Rothrock, Special Agent in Charge of the Dallas FBI office, said that the shooting was a targeted act of violence. He revealed that messages were found near the suspect and that they were a simple reference to the shooter being “anti-ICE.”
No ICE agents or other law enforcement professionals were hurt in the attack, but the motive behind it remains unclear. The attack is currently under investigation.
