Founding Member of Earth, Wind, and Fire passes away.

imageThe R&B world has lost another legend today. Maurice White, the founding member of Earth, Wind and Fire has passed away after his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. White, best known for his velvety voice as the lead singer of the Grammy award winning band, has paved the way for many music artists today. A mentor to most, White was also known for his producing and song writing skills and worked with artists such as Neil Diamond and Barbara Streisand.Naming the band after some astrological elements that he saw on an element chart, Earth, Wind, and Fire reached a huge level of success especially with their hits “Shining Star”, “Let’s Groove” and “September”.  Although, we lost a pioneer, his voice and the band’s legacy and music will live on forever.Let’s Groove- Earth, Wind, and Fire Krissi B. 💋
