The music gods have answered our prayers; Xscape has finally reunited! The 90s R&B girl group, made up of Kandi, Tiny, and sisters Tameka and LaTocha, had an unbelievable impact on the shape of R&B today, paving the way for many R&B groups who came after them.
The group formed in 1992 and was discovered at a birthday party for producer Jermaine Dupri in Atlanta and from there the hits started rolling in. Although the group had a good reign and could’ve kept going, they essentially broke up due to a feud between Tiny and Kandi. It has been 18 years since the group has been seen together, and with the feud behind them, Tiny and Kandi made the huge announcement on Big Tigger’s radio show V103, saying that they were ready to roll. Latocha took her instagram to confirm the announcement.
We can’t wait to see what this group has in store for their fans!

Getting to Know: Juriel Alexander
There’s a saying that goes; Good music doesn’t have an expiration date” and in the case of Juriel Alexander that saying is valid. The discovery of Juriel Alexander happened via SoundCloud and it was an amazing discovery.
Alexander’s music has a sound that is timeless and he credits his upbringing for it. Growing up in the Coney Island section of Brooklyn at a time where it wasn’t the safest of neighborhoods, Alexander knew at an early age that singing would be his way out of what his neighborhood had to offer. 
Juriel Alexander credits his grandmother for his start with singing becahse at the age of three she brough him a karaoke machine and from that point his love for music began.Later on, Juriel would start a group with his brother for a few years before going solo. In 2016, Juriel Alexander released his first mixtape Only the Beginning where he does amazing remixes of Future’s “Purple Rain”, Drake’s “Controlla”, Desiigner’s “Panda” and more. New Edition Receives Long Overdue Award!
The week has started off great for New Edition. They received one of the most prestigious awards to ever be bestowed upon them. The R&B Group finally received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and just before the premiere of their three-night biopic airing on BET on January 24th, 2017 at 9 pm.New Edition got their start in Boston, and had quite a few chart-topping hits such as “Candy Girl”, “Cool it Now”, “Mr. Telephone Man”, If It Isn’t Love”, “Count me Out”, “Can You Stand The Rain”, and list goes on and on. This group has been in the music business for more than three decades and has had a successful career together and as solo acts, winning multiple awards, and selling multi-platinum albums.As soon as the news broke about this award fans took to social media to express their excitement and some had the chance of witnessing Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny finally cemented their legacy by receiving this award.
