    Adekunle Gold Holds Listening Party For Latest Album ‘Fuji’ At Record Room

    Adekunle Gold celebrated the release of his latest album Fuji with an intimate listening party at the Record Room in Long Island City.

    Fuji is Gold’s sixth studio album, and it’s different from his previous ones. The title of the album is a callback to his Nigerian roots and culture. Fuji music was founded during the 1960s as a socio-cultural movement in the South-West region of Nigeria. This genre of music is best known for its up-tempo and percussive style. It evolved from wéré or ajisari music, which has been used to wake up Yoruba Muslims during Ramadan.

    During the listening party, Gold explained that he decided to use Fuji music for this album because he knew fans would love it. “I don’t care who you are; if you listen to it, you’re going to love it,” he said. “I did what my soul was yearning for, and that’s why I have Fuji.”

    The album has 15 tracks on it and it features big names such as Robert Glasper, Davido, and 6lack.

    With making this album, Gold was intentional to incorporate fuji with the R&B, Pop, and Soul samples he used in his songs such as “B*tch, Better Have My Money” by Rihanna, on the song “Coco Money” and “Just The Two of Us” by Bill Withers.

    Sammie Breaks His Silence After Being Arrested On Battery And Cruelty To Children Charges

    Sammie finally speaks out after he was arrested in Georgia.

    According to reports, the “I Like It” singer was arrested and charged with cruelty to children and battery. He was booked on Oct. 19 in the Henry County area.

    The cruelty to children charge is an instance where a violent act was displayed and witnessed by a child, and not acted out on a child. The details on the allegations have not been made public.

    Sammie was later released on bond and has given fans an update on the situation via social media. The singer jumped in the comments under The Shaderoom’s Instagram post saying that the news coverage was “clickbait.”

    “TSR, y’all know better,” he wrote. “Should’ve hit me and my team first for the facts opposed for clickbait, y’all know how I rock. Y’all brought me back career-wise, but I see y’all pushing the agenda of negativity, and that’s fine. God bless y’all. I pray the apologies are as loud as the lies and offenses.”

    He also addressed the situation via his Instagram Story. “I’mma let God have his say and the courts have their say. The truth shall set you free.”

    Dolly Parton Breaks Silence Amid Sister’s Prayer Request Scare: “I Ain’t Dead Yet”

    Dolly Parton has broken her silence amid her sister asking for prayers for the singer.

    Parton released a video on social media where she cleared up a few things. “I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am,” she said. “Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here!”

    The singer added she wanted to “put everybody’s mind at ease, those of you that seem to be real concerned.” She also assured fans she’s OK and revealed she has some problems to deal with.

    Parton added that after the death of her husband, Carl Dean, she didn’t take care of herself and that she let “a lot of things go.” She said, “When I got around to it, the doctor said, ‘We need to take care of this, we need to take care of that.’” She added, “Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home.”

    Parton then clarified, “I wanted you to know that I’m not dying! I’m not ready to die yet. I don’t think God is through with me, and I ain’t done working.”

    Parton’s video comes after her sister, Freida Parton, asked fans for prayers on her sister’s behalf. On Facebook, she wrote, “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly. Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and prayer with me.”

    The post ended with, “She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”

    Last month, Dolly Parton opened up about her health on social media, which led to the postponement of her Las Vegas shows.
    “As many of you know, I’ve been dealing with some health challenges, and my doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures,” she said. “I am not going to be able to rehearse and put together the show that I want you to see, and the show that you deserve to see. You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you.”

    Parton will still be able to have her shows, she said that she needs “a little time to get show ready.”
