    NBA Legend Stacey King Dies at 59; Reported Fall Cited as Cause

    The death of NBA legend Stacey King has left the sports world in mourning.

    King, a three-time NBA champion and longtime Chicago Bulls broadcaster, passed away on June 7 after being found in his home in River Forest, Illinois. According to reports, King allegedly suffered a fall at his home, but officials are still trying to determine the cause of death.

    The Chicago Bulls announced the passing of King on the same day, which led to an outpouring of tributes for the fallen legend.

    “Stacey King was a cherished member of the Bulls family and one of the truly unique personalities in our organization’s history,” Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said in a statement.

    Michael Reinsdorf, the team’s president and CEO, also remembered King and said he had a “unique gift for bringing people together and making every game feel personal.”

    During his career, Stacey King played for the Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, Miami Heat, and Dallas Mavericks. After retiring from the league, King became a fixture on Bulls telecasts for almost 20 years.

    A few weeks before his untimely passing, King said that he loves his job and that it “never seems like work for me.”

    Ricky Hatton, Boxing Legend, Found Dead At 46

    Boxing legend Ricky Hatton was found dead. His death was confirmed by the World Boxing Association.

    The British Boxer, whose nickname was “the Hitman,” won a number of titles throughout his 15-year career including the WBA, IBO, and IBF light-welterweight titles. He also held the WBA welterweight world championship.

    Hatton retired from boxing in 2012, however he was set to make a comeback for an event in Dubai later this year.

    The WBA released a statement about Hatton and said, “A true champion, an indomitable spirit, and a legend of the sport. Your legacy will live on in every fight and in the hearts of boxing fans around the world.”

    According to the Greater Manchester Police, Hatton’s body was found at an address in Hyde, a northern English city, on Sunday morning.

    “The death is not being treated as suspicious,” a spokesperson for the police said in a statement.

    In the past, the legend has been candid about his struggles with drugs, drinking, and depression and had expressed that he had tried to take his own life several times before.

    In a 2016 interview with BBC radio, he said, “I was coming off the rails with my drinking and that led to drugs. It was like a runaway train.”

    “Today we lost not only one of Britain’s greatest boxers, but a friend, a mentor, a warrior, Ricky Hatton,” fellow British boxer Amir Khan said on X. “Ricky, thank you for everything. For your fights, your moments of glory, your grit. Thank you for pushing us, showing us what’s possible… you’ll always have your place in the ring of our memories.”
