Halle Bailey is getting ready to release her debut solo album, in which she will open up about her love/heartbreak story.
The 25-year-old singer released a teaser trailer on her social media announcing her debut, Love? Or Something Like It. “Once upon a time, there was a young girl that believed in love. She believed everyone belonged to someone,” she said in the voiceover of the trailer. “So all she ever wanted in life was to find the truest form of love. Was it ever possible? And here’s what happened.”
The caption of the post read, “A story of first love, heartbreak, and everything that comes after. Out 10/24. This one means everything to me.”
Bailey’s debut album comes after her legal battles with her ex, DDG. The two made headlines over the custody of their son, Halo. In August, they were both ordered by a judge to avoid posting their 1-year-old on their social media accounts.
This is the first time that Halle Bailey will be releasing music since dropping Ungodly Hour in 2020 with her sister, Chloe. What do you think Halle’s album will reveal?
