My apologies for missing a day of writing this series but life was getting a little bit too real, however, I am back today, and as you may or may not know it is the birthday of the one and only Prince Rogers Nelson.
Throughout the course of his life, Prince has given fans a long list of hits such as, “Purple Rain,” “When Doves Cry,” “Kiss,” “Musicology,” and so much more. I was easily intrigued by the “Purple One” because of his energy while performing.
I also loved how unapologetic he was. If he had an issue with something or someone he will make it known and stand in his truth, hence the name change to “The artist formerly known as Prince” when he was having issues with his record label.
To honor him on what would’ve been his 64th, below are some of my favorite songs by him.
