On March 9th, 1997 tragedy struck when the news broke out that The Notorious B.I.G was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. The shooting took place several months after his friend turned rival Tupac Shakur was gunned down in a similar manner in Las Vegas.Christopher Wallace known as The Notorious B.I.G, was rushed to the hospital but later passed away on the operating table. Every year on the 9th of March, fans from all over the world come together and reminisce about the rapper who will forever be immortalized as a rap icon. The Notorious B.I.G will forever be remembered for his raw lyrics and the unparalleled talent that he held.
