R. Kelly is in more trouble.
The singer is being accused of hiding a bank account containing $1.2 Million. It was reported, last year Kelly claimed that he was unable to pay for his legal troubles, stating that he was broke.
Other reports say, that Kelly opened a band account in March of 2019 three months before his arrest. The account was under the business SomeBrotherLuv LLC where all of his royalties were assigned to go.
The account was discovered by prosecutors after they subpoenaed the bank records of one of his attorneys. Prosecutors were also able to obtain Kelly’s phone records from jail, he was recorded allegedly giving instructions to the contact person to receive the payments indirectly.
This news comes a week after three men from the singer’s camp were arrested and charged with intimidating and bribing his alleged victims.
R.Kelly is currently being held at Chicago’s Metropolitan Correctional Center.
