    Pau Gasol And Wife Christina Welcomes New Daughter + Honors Gianna Bryant

    A huge congratulations are in order to Pau Gasol and his wife Christina. The two welcomed a beautiful baby girl on September 10th and they paid honor to Kobe and Gianna Bryant as well.
    They decided to name their daughter, Elisabet Gianna Gasol.

    Gasol, who played seven season with Kobe is every close with the Bryant family and made sure to highlight his daughter’s “very meaningful name”.

    Vanessa Bryant, the wife of Kobe and mother to Gianna also took to social media to express her love and gratitude to Pau and Christina and thanking them for making her Elisabet’s godmother.

    Both Kobe and Gianna Bryant were killed in a helicopter crash along with seven other passengers as they were heading to a basketball game.
    All of victims and their families will always be in our prayers.

    That’s Dope: Jay-Z and Beyonce to be Honored at the GLAAD Media Awards

    This is huge! Jay-Z and Beyonce were named the next recipients of the Vanguard Award at this year’s GLAAD Media Awards. The award is given to those who have accepted and has made a difference for LGBTQ people. Jay-Z and Beyonce will join previous winners of this award including Kerry Washington, Britney Spears, Cher, Janet Jackson, Patricia Arquette, Charlize Theron, and Jennifer Aniston. In a statement made by GLAAD’s president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis, she said “they’re global icons and passionate defenders of human rights and acceptance for all people”. The awards will be handed out on two different dates; March 28th in Los Angeles and May 4th in New York.

    Selena to Receive Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

    The Queen of Tejano still reigns supreme 22 years after her tragic death. On November 3rd, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has made Selena apart of the 2017 class to receive stars on this year’s Hollywood Walk of Fame.The late singer was the first ever no musician to win a Grammy in 1994. She has broken down barriers for other Latino musicians to follow in her footsteps.During her illustrious career, Selena had a number of hits including “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom”, “Como la Flor”, and “Dreaming of you”. Not only was she a singer but she was also a businesswoman. Selena started her own clothing line and opened her own clothing store in Corpus Cristi, Texas called Selena Inc.Selena’s life came to an untimely end but her music and legacy will live on forever. The star will be placed in front of the Capitol Records at 1750 N. Vine Street. The singer released her debut album with Capitol EMI. The ceremony will begin at 6:30pm and her sister Suzette will be accepting the honor on her sister’s behalf.
