Cry it Out & Leave It There

When I was younger, i used to be teased for always crying. I was called a crybaby for crying about everything. It got to the point where i decided to no longer cry and hold everything in.

as i got older, i realized that crying is a form of release. it doesn’t mean that you are weak, but it means that you are actually strong enough to recognize that you need to let out that wall of emotions in order to feel better.

so my advice to you is to cry it out and once you do, leave whatever you feeling in the place that you’ve cried and move on. There’s no point in bringing it with you.

it’s time to leave the baggage behind, and look forward.

Change Your Surrounding To Grow

The late nipsey hussle once said, “If you look at the people in your circle and don’t get inspired, then you don’t have a circle. you have a cage.”

It takes change to grow. It may hurt, it may feel uncomfortable, it may not be easy, but it is all necessary and for those who don’t want to grow with you, you have to let them go.

It will work out for you in the end.

Do It Scared!

If you ever wanted to do something but are scared to do so, here’s a tip: DO IT SCARED ANYWAY!

You’ll never know the outcome if you don’t try it. forget about the naysayers and the doubters because they are going to talk regardless.

do it for you and do it scared. trust me, you’ll be fine.

Just Take That leap

Life can be hard! There are certain things that you want to do but are afraid to do because of guilt. it’s uncomfortable because it will shift you to a new and different place. but have you ever thought about what would happen if you don’t take that leap of faith?

yes, it may be scary, but close your eyes, trust god, and go for it. he will never steer you wrong. you will never know what can happen if you don’t try.

don’t worry things will be okay and remember that all is and will be well.

Leave It In The Past, Focus On Today

Have you ever of this quote by Will Rogers, “Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today,” if you haven’t before, now you have (LOL).

It is so easy to dwell on the things that bothers us as humans but honestly, what good does dwelling do? I’ll tell you, NO GOOD.

if it is something that you can’t handle in that moment, and it is not a life or death issue or situation then there is no point in keeping in your mind.

let it go and focus on the new day’s matter at hand. trust me, you will be more at peace with yourself and your day will be much better.

As we embark on a new week, that means we have a new chance for new opportunities.

These new things and opportunities may look scary but remember when you take a breath today just know that you’re going yo be okay. Take things one day at a time and everything will be okay.

Delay Is Not Denial, Keep pushing through

As we go into the weekend, remember that delay is not denial.

do not go into the weekend thinking that you have failed at your set goals for week. Things come up and life sometimes has hands but don’t worry your delay is not a denial.

This is a time for you to relax and reset. Keep pushing through and remember that everything happens for a reason.

I’m Protecting My Mental Health By putting me first

Do y’all remember the famous line, “I gotta put me first, Lucious” by the infamous Cookie lyon from the hit show “Empire”? Although people ran with that line and used it in every meme and tikTok video out there, Ms. Lyon was on to something.

It is time to put you first! Protect yourself, your mental health, physical health, emotional health, and spiritual health by all means. If this means using your pTO then do so, if this means putting your phone on DND for an hour or two, then do it, if this means taking a nap, by all means take that nap.
