The new vine craze “Sausage” has taken the world by storm. The song, which originally refers a sausage to a penis as strong sexual inuendo, has been turned into a sexual awareness song by Brooklyn’s own Lil Mama. Inspired but this sudden social media frenzy with “Sausage”, Lil Mama decided to turn into a sexual awareness song and promote safe sex, with lyrics like “Eggs, bacon, grits, sausage/ you better use a condom if you taking that sausage”. The video for Sausage shows Lil Mama’s creativity when she reenacts scenes from popular videos of the 90s like Mary J. Blige’s “Not Gon Cry” Madonna’s “Vogue”, and Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal”. The rapper also shows off her dancing skills as well as her lyrical ability by mixing together verses from the Wu-Tang Clan ‘s song “C.R.E.A.M” and Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen”. This catchy tune is a blend of Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B and Reggae from the 90s to the present that will definitely be a good, positive and fun anthem for the summer.
