WWE is the most successful wrestling entity ever! With its constant growth throughout the business, sometimes you have to think, “What’s next for this business?” Well, that question has been answered. While on tour in India, COO Triple H has signed the first Kuwaiti male wrestler, Nasser Jamal Alruwayeh and the first Arab female wrestler, Shadia Bseiso to WWE.To make things even better, for the first time ever the first women’s match was held between Sasha Banks and the current WWE Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss. Afterwards, an emotional Banks expressed her gratitude for being able to perform at her best in front of a crowd where it has never happened before. The first match he went against the current International Champion and fellow Shield member, Roman Reigns for the championship. Although he lost to Reigns, the COO still showed his respect to the champ and to the members of The Shield. 
The second match was against India’s own Jinder Mahal in which Triple H won but also showed a great deal of respect for after the match was over. On WWE’s Twitter page, Triple H informs Mahal that he has earned his respect after their match. Sen. Al Franken set to Resign…Soon
Yesterday, Sen. Al Franken came forward to announce his resignation amid sexual harassment allegations. In his speech, the Minnesota senator stated that it was the worst day of his life. Franken also took a jab at both Roy Moore and Donald Trump who have also been accused of sexual harassment and sexual misconduct. Cited in the New York Times, Franken said, “I, of all people, am aware that there is some irony in the fact that I am leaving while a man who bragged on tape about his history of sexual assault sits in the Oval Office and a man who has repeatedly preyed on young girls campaigns for the Senate with the full support of his party.”This announcement comes shortly after the longest-serving African-American Democratic representativeJohn Conyers Jr also resigned amid sexual misconduct allegations. Both Franken and Conyers Jr. were forced to resign by the Democrats and its leaders. Their resignations come during a time where many sexual misconduct allegations have been revealed by accusers from all over including in the music and entertainment industry. With these allegations heavily swirling around on Capitol Hill, what does it mean for them? What are the next steps that members of Congress are going to take and how will they respond to it? -
Time Names the “Silence Breakers” as “Person of the Year”
Time Magazine’s “Person of the Year” selection has finally put all of the rumors and speculations to rest. With Colin Kaepernick and Donald Trump cited to be the most popular choices, it wasn’t clear who would actually win. Instead of going with those two, the popular magazine decided to give the title to the ladies of the #MeToo movement. This movement was the start of exposing high profile celebrities of their sexual harassment acts.The women of this movement include actors and non-actors who all have experienced sexual harassment in the workplace. In the Time article, the women go into detail and paint vivid pictures of their occurrences with their harassers.Actor Ashley Judd recounts her incident with Harvey Weinstein back in 1997 before her career actually took off. “I started talking about Harvey the minute that it happened,” Judd said. “Literally, I exited that hotel room at the Peninsula Hotel in 1997 and came straight downstairs to the lobby, where my dad was waiting for me, because he happened to be in Los Angeles from Kentucky, visiting me on the set. And he could tell by my face—to use his words—that something devastating had happened to me. I told him. I told everyone.” Judd was one of the first women to speak out against Weinstein since the very beginning. It wasn’t until this past October when people started to listen. More actresses including Rose McGowan, Selma Blair, Alyssa Milano, and Taylor Swift all came forward with being sexually harassed.
