Lauryn Hill paid tribute to D’Angelo and Roberta Flack during the 2026 Grammys during the “In Memoriam” portion of the show. The segment also had tributes from Reba McIntyre and Post Malone.
Hill started the tribute by performing her song with D’Angelo, “Nothing Even Matters.” She was later joined on stage by Lucky Daye, John Legend, Chaka Khan, Leon Thomas, Bilal, Wyclef Jean, and others to honor the fallen legends.
This D’Angelo and Roberta Flack tribute led by Lauryn Hill is how the #GRAMMY producers should have done Prince’s, Michael Jackson’s, Aretha Franklin’s, Luther Vandross’ and Whitney Houston’s tributes – the right singers in their style and subgenre #GRAMMYs2026#grammyspic.twitter.com/buVc9Do8ik
Social media shared their reactions to the touching tribute. See what they had to say below.

Lauryn is a generational TALENT. Allowing her to orchestrate this entire tribute was a perfect way to showcase her GENIUS. #Grammyspic.twitter.com/7uIln3LGRj
If the tributes moving forward aren’t like the one that Lauryn Hill put together then I don’t want it! That was phenomenal, D’Angelo, Roberta Flack, and everyone else they paid homage to are proud #GRAMMY
Don Lemon has been arrested and is in federal custody.
The journalist’s lawyer, Abbe Lowell, released a statement revealing the shocking news. “Don Lemon was taken into custody by federal agents last night in Los Angeles, where he was covering the Grammy awards,” the statement said.
The statement goes on to call out the Trump Justice Department for not investigating the killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, who were gunned down by ICE agents in Minneapolis. It also calls Lemon’s arrest an attack the First Amendment, which journalists are supposed to be protected under.
Attorney for my colleague and friend Don Lemon has released a statement saying Don was arrested by federal agents in LA last night. This is outrageous and cannot stand. The First Amendment is under attack in America! pic.twitter.com/V4TVEK7Icy
Lemon’s arrest came after a Minnesota church protest. He was charged with violating a federal law by impeding people’s right to worship during an anti-ICE protest at Cities Church in Minneapolis on January 18, reports say.
We are keeping Don Lemon in our prayers and will update you when more information becomes available.
The influencer posted her first video of herself in a supermarket, where she revealed that she was “literally shaking” and “really nervous” while recording. “My nervous system is like shot. And it kind of has been for the past month,” she said.
In the video, she was answering fans’ questions and concerns about making funny videos, to which she said that she’s currently in the headspace to do so. “I figured I’m just going to share with you guys the raw, the real, the ugly, just like how I’m transitioning,” she said. “And I’m not going to lie. I was a little excited to go grocery shopping for the first time because I feel like I can just get anything I want. Not that I couldn’t before, but it just feels a little different.”
This is the first video she’s posted since announcing her divorce from her husband, Desmond Scott. Once the news broke, Desmond went on his Instagram story to issue a public apology and asked fans to respect their privacy during this time.
Kristy added, “I don’t want to get emotional, but I kind of feel like this is gonna force you guys to see a different side of me because y’all always see my chaotic, humorous side, and it’s just not in me to do that at this current moment in time.”
She continued, “I think I’m just going to take advantage of learning who I am even more and what I like, and just diving into my hobbies more, doing the best I can for my kids.”
Kristy Scott concluded her video by saying that she wasn’t sure how she would fully return to the internet, but wanted to thank her fans and give them an update.
