    It’s has been an unbelievable turn of events that this country has faced in a matter of weeks. Starting with the riot in Charlottesville, then Hurricane Harvey displacing many residents in Houston, Texas and now the removal of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals also known as DACA.On Tuesday, September 5th, 2017, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that DACA will be rescinded, which will have many children who came to this country under the age of 16 with their immigrant parents deported back to their countries. DACA was administered under former President Obama in 2012 to protect minors from deportation, and with it now being rescinded DACA recipients are in a panic. As protests started in the streets across the nation, Trump took to his Twitter account to threaten Congress that they have six months to make a decision before the issue is revisited.Many artists also went to their Twitter accounts to express how they felt about this harsh decision. See what they had to say below:20170907_13525820170907_140319Screenshot_20170907-121559Other artists also voiced their opinion on this issue by partnering with Spotify to create a playlist to honor immigrants. These artists include Demi Lovato, Jared Leto, Daddy Yankee, Camilla Cabello and more. Photo Cred via Twitter @Spotify We stand with the Dreamers.

    IMG_20170906_075653The Music gods have answered our prayers! A new Michael Jackson project is set to be released this September and we are all excited for it. This huge announcement was made on the late superstar’s Twitter account with a 15-second animated teaser with a series of Halloween-themed clips and samples of his hits, including Dangerous, Scream, Blood on the Dance floor, Dirty Diana, and more. You can check out the clip via YouTube below.https://youtu.be/K6k-C4m1LtcThe project will be released on September 29th, but it was made clear that there will be no new music released on it. Rolling Stone reports that John Branca, co-executor of Michael Jackson’s estate, informed many of the following;

    “I don’t foresee us releasing any more unreleased music for quite some time,” Branca said. “That doesn’t mean there won’t be interesting [new] record releases in the very near future.”

    With the video showing Halloween- themed effects, it should be safe to assume that this new project will be centered around Halloween but we will have to wait until it is fully released to find out.  For those who can’t wait, you have the opportunity to get a first listen to a mash-up of Blood on the Dance Floor and Dangerous by using Shazam on any Michael Jackson song.
