It’s almost time to celebrate one of the most important days in Black History and culture…Juneteenth.

On June 19th, 1865, also known as Juneteenth, was declared the true independence day for Black people because it was the day that slavery ended and slaves were set free. For years, the day has gone severely unacknowledged but this year, it’s the holiday will be acknowledging.

Since the tragic murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Rayshard Brooks, Eric Gardner, and many other unarmed black people at the hands of white police officers, the black community has decided that they have had enough.

We have rioted, protested, put our black dollars into other black own businesses and now we are coming together to celebrate Juneteenth the right way. Take a look at all of the events happening on Friday, June 19th, 2020 (Juneteenth)
