George Floyd’s autopsy results are in.

According to Floyd’s family attorney, Ben Crump, it has been revealed that Floyd died of asphyxiation due to the knees that were in his neck and back.

Dr. Allecia Wilson and Dr. Michael Baden performed the autopsy on Floyd and ruled that there was a lack of blood flow to the brain from the neck and back compression.

Crump took to his Facebook Live to make the announcement. During the live, he also added “the weight on the back, handcuffs and positioning were contributory factors because they impaired the ability of Mr. Floyd’s diaphragm to function.”

Crump is also working to get Chauvin’s charges changed from third-degree murder and manslaughter to first- degree murder.

On Monday May 25th, George Floyd died after former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin had his knee on Floyd’s neck for 8-9 minutes.

George Floyd was 46 years old.
