This song came about when a young teen and the founding member of Boogie Down Productions were both killed. Shortly after both movements, rappers KRS-ONE decided to respond to these killings by forming the Stop The Violence Movement. The song and video is made up of well known East Coast Rappers who came together to spread this message of stopping the violence.
