Celebrities join the “Don’t shoot/I can’t breathe” movement

Over the past few weeks, protesters have expressed their anger, rage and frustration with the police, government and the justice system due to the no indictment verdicts from the Mike Brown and Eric Garner killings both at the hands of police officers. To make their voices heard, prostesters from all over the world  have held a number of “die-ins”, “11 minutes of silence” and the “hands up,don’t shoot/I can’t breathe”chants and marches including the Million Man March that took place on 12-13-14. The marchers started from Washington Square Park in the Village and walked to The Pink Housing Complex in Brooklyn  where Akai Gurley was murdered by a police officer in the staircase.
